Hi there, I’m John Mwaniki
My first exposure to programming was during my sophomore year of high school. I was 15 years old at the time.
All I wanted was to make a simple website, which eventually led to downloading visual studio 2010 (Yup, I remember the version) and getting my hards dirty with C#. Learning C# allowed me to also learn asp.net.
That is where my journey into writing code began.
Not long after, I went to college and majored in computer science. I graduated in May of 2018.
Working as a software engineer had always been one of my goal. After a long and arduous job search, I was fortunate to graduate with several job offers.
I currently work as an associate software engineer for an enterprise software company.
In our field, learning is a lifelong process. Especially when one joins a new team or company. As a result,
I have a lot to learn and having a solid CS foundation has been helpful. Additionally, experience working
on personal projects and internship has helped as well.
By creating this blog, I’m hoping to share what I learn/have learned, challenges I’ve faced and overcame, and
my experience working as a junior developer.
The target audience for the content I write is other junior developers and college students who are starting
or about to start their professional journey as software developers/engineers.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you find the content useful.
